GROWING UP YEARS AND IMPACT OF EDUCATION

Padmasingh Isaac was born in Nazareth a town in Tirunelveli District. He hailed from a family that relied solely on agriculture with five siblings. The sudden death of his father when he was 12 years old did not stop him from facing life’s challenges that lay before him. He studied at Margoschis Higher Secondary School set up by the missionaries from Europe who were the main reason that these villages were able to get education and medical facilities. With the able support, guidance, love and untiring efforts of his mother Flora, he pursued his Bachelor degree in Business Administration (BBA) in Adithanar College in Tiruchendur. Padmasingh was a very skilled football player in school and college.

INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE

When he was 15 years old he started a petty shop of his own during holidays. That same year is father died of an illness. He was the fourth among six siblings. His mother had education only up to fourth standard. She started cultivating paddy in our lands and bought some cows and chicks. Very deftly she took over the responsibilities of the house. She used the money from the cow’s milk for the day to day expenses by selling it. The male cattle were sold for meat. Padmasingh was in awe of the way she managed the economy of the house and converted every opportunity into strength. “My mother was my biggest role model and inspiration. She managed to educate all 6 of us”.

His mother’s aromatic cooking blended with her abundant love wove a magical spell on him that gave him an idea to do something to make cooking a pleasure. Little did he realize that this had laid a firm foundation in his mind to blossom as a successful entrepreneur at a later date.
