LINDILE NDZABA, @khayelitshasfinestwines
Lindile worked in the hospitality industry before starting his own-label wine, Khayelitsha’s Finest Wines (KFW). The project sources small batches of high-quality wines from across the Cape, which he brings back to his community.
Your first glimpse into the world of wine? My journey began at Brewers & Union with an event called Wine Gems. Different winemakers showcased their ranges every week and I learnt a lot about different grape varieties, their expressions, and how to pair them with food.
The wine that set you on your current course? My “aha” wines were from David Cope’s Alphabetical range. They showed me that it’s possible to own a wine brand without being a winemaker or owning a vineyard.
