I received a pair of Ariat Burford insulated zip boots to test at the end of last season and they have not been a disappointment.

They do the basic things insulated wellies are meant to they keep you warm, they keep you dry and they are green. What these boots do very well, though, is keep your feet fantastically comfortable. I have worn them on two shoot days, as well as for other jobs around the shoot after the season.

I often find that wearing wellies all day and walking any great distance in them makes my feet and ankles ache, which is why I have favoured lace-up boots for long days. However, I think these Ariats are easily good enough for prolonged use.
