Was there a defining moment when you just knew you wanted to be a physician? Why did you decide to become an Infertility Specialist?

The defining moment of my life where I decided to become an Infertility Specialist was when I saw my own brother going through Infertility issues. They had been married for 10 years but unfortunately couldn’t conceive. My brother and his wife were emotionally, mentally and physically devastated as this problem had taken a toll on their lives. They used to run from pillar to post always in the hope of having a child. They visited possibly every mandir and tried everything under the sun. I could evidently see how my brother’s world came crashing down and that’s when I decided to change several other lives who are dealing with the same problem. And trust me, today, there’s no better feeling for me when I see parents taking their baby home from my clinic.
