At a time when most luxury brands are struggling to stay afl oat, Tissot, the king of mid-segment Swiss luxury watches reported revenues exceeding one billion Swiss francs last year. With its aggressive pricing and a wide range of stylish timepieces, Tissot is all set to knock off its competitors. To know more about the brand’s marketing strategy, we spoke to its president, François Thiébaud at Baselworld. Excerpts from the interview:
As the President of the Swiss Watch Exhibitors’ Committee, what are your expectations from 2018 since the last three years have been difficult for the Swiss watchmaking industry?
