Magical Mystery Tour To Tromsø In Norway

To celebrate its theme of the year, Hermès took us on a magical mystery tour to Tromsø in Norway during the summer solstice and kept us in a state of permanent enchantment.

There are some journeys that one chance upon in life that will rearrange your molecules. For me, this was it. Spectacular in its (secret) ambition, and ingeniously executed in the way that only Hermès can, we landed in Paris on a hot June day, only to be whisked off to another airport. The only clue we had about our onward journey was to carry our down jackets and hiking boots: we were told we would be trekking outdoors, where the temperature would be between 1 and 10°C. Oh, and then there were books by Norwegian authors on our airplane seats. After a three-and-a-half-hour journey, with no announcements made by the pilot of our chartered plane, we landed at 6 pm in Tromsø, Norway
