Imagine this: After two hectic weeks of nonstop working, you finally get a breather to unwind and catch up with your friends. You scroll down to your girl group and suggest the idea. Of course, everyone agrees in a heartbeat but then comes the big a$$ mood killer; ‘’Let’s go to the movies!’’. I mean, what is up with that? Don’t get me wrong, having a movie night with your besties is so much fun. But, catching up with your girls include talking, giggling and a lot of laughing, all of which you shouldn’t be doing at a cinema. I wouldn’t class a cinema to be a place friends can hang out and chill! I would rather go to the movies on my own. But why is going to watch a movie on your own such an unthinkable thing to do? People often believe if one is seen in the cinema alone, it means the individual is lonely or depressed. But there’s a big difference in being alone and being lonely. Yes, you could have a great partner and a fabulous group of friends but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have some alone time once in a while.
