When I was younger, I bought into the stigma that pubic hair was gross—that if I didn’t remove it, guys would perceive me as unclean, smelly, even lazy. So I did.

As I embraced feminism, I started thinking about all the ways we feel pressured to please men—like waxing or shaving our pubic hair, despite the expense and high maintenance labour of it all. Sometimes doing so causes bumps and cuts, which, ironically, can turn guys off... and make us feel less confident. All for something that is naturally occurring! So I decided to bring back the bush.
