“Don't Take Fashion So Seriously”

Cosmo: What was it like being the showstopper for Bodice, bringing the Phygital edition of the FDCI x Lakmé Fashion Week 2021 to a close?

Ananya Panday: “It is every girl’s dream to walk the ramp. I am so excited about Ruchika’s [Sachdeva] collection. I love her clean, classic, and simple silhouettes. The theme this year, #MiniPlayMegaSlay, is inspired by the super-cute and nourishing Lakmé Absolute Matte Melt Mini lip colours. So, it is all about finding joy in little things. That’s something I have tried to practise during the lockdown, too—it has been all about being grateful for and finding happiness in simple moments.”

C: How would you define your personal style?

AP: “For me, the most important thing is comfort. I’ll never wear anything that I’m uncomfortable in, because that shows. As long as I am happy in an outfit and having fun, it works out best for me.”
