It was planned as a much needed child-free holiday to reignite the spark in David and Victoria Beckham’s relationship, just in time for their 19th wedding anniversary.

But insiders say fights over their make-or-break trip to the South Pacific have left the pair arguing more than ever before – and friends fear they’ll be left with no choice but to go their separate ways.

For years, there have been rumours of infidelity, jealousy and time spent apart. Just last year, David admitted, “Of course we go through tough times. Marriage is difficult.”

But with their four children fast growing up and the couple spending more and more time away from each other, friends say the former soccer star and his 44-year-old wife may finally be ready to accept that a split is the only thing left for them to do.
