There's huge excitement over a chess tournament being hosted in Saint Marie in the final episode of Death in Paradise this week, as it marks the return of grandmaster Julius Rotfeld (David Sibley) to the game after nearly 35 years of living as a recluse.

However, the match ends in tragedy when Julius dies at the table after touching a poisoned chess piece!
