The cliffhanger saw Nancy, Dr Turner and Sister Julienne returning home from a conference on the train, when driver Lionel Corbett (Marc Elliott) appeared to fall ill and the train derailed. While Nancy (Megan Cusack) escaped, she couldn't reach Dr Turner and Sister Julienne (Jenny Agutter).
