He’s recently been cooking his way around France in chef Keith Floyd’s old Citroën 2CV, and exploring America in a range of vintage vehicles. Now, TV chef James Martin is behind the wheel of a little red Mini for his new series exploring the incredible food we have right here at home.

‘We looked at doing Italy but then Gino [D’Acampo] is there a lot!’ James laughs. ‘I had an idea to do the Italian coastline and then the next minute the rotter’s gone and done it.
