An Eye For Detail

IT’S NO COINCIDENCE THAT IN THE 1ST CENTURY AD, the advent of distillation science – the crux of whisky making – happened at the same time that glass-blowing techniques were created. Creating alcohol packaging using glass vessels was soon a booming commerce, and by the 7th century, storing and serving alcohol in delicately engraved glass became a popular practice throughout Europe and the Middle East.

Today, displaying and serving whisky in engraved decanters and glassware vividly enhances the appreciation of the spirit, whether one is savouring a favourite Scotch or toasting significant moments. It’s also a beautiful expression of sentiment and remembrance etched in posterity – literally, figuratively and artistically.
