Lyra’s mission to uncover the truth about the strange and mysterious medium known as Dust takes a thrilling turn in BBC1’s His Dark Materials this week.

Determined to prove that the sinister Magisterium, who controls Lyra’s world, are wrong to teach that Dust is original sin, the intrepid teenager and her new friend Will (Amir Wilson) travel from the parallel realm of Cittagàzze to Will’s Oxford in search of scholarly help.
