Charlotte Ritchie joins the gang as the Doctor begins 2019 with an epic battle…
-

Having been a Call the Midwife favourite for a number of series, Charlotte Ritchie is no stranger to a Christmas special, yet viewers will have to wait a little longer than usual to get a glimpse of her on our screens this holiday season.
She’s the festive guest star this year as Doctor Who time-travels from its traditional Christmas Day slot to New Year’s Day, but with an epic adventure in store, it’s sure to be worth the wait.
The action begins with the Doctor arriving home at the dawn of a new year – only to find a terrifying evil is stirring from down the centuries of Earth’s history.
Will she and her friends be able to save the planet? We asked Fresh Meat star Ritchie to tell us more…
What was it like being in a Doctor Who festive special?
It was so exciting, but also a bit terrifying. The pressure was high to do a good job. It was a big departure for me, and I felt lucky to be doing something so different that took me out of my comfort zone.
Did you enjoy working with Jodie Whittaker and the rest of the cast?
