Anna Torv is best known for playing FBI agent Olivia Dunham in the sci-fi drama Fringe. Now, she’s back with another mystery to solve in the Australian conspiracy thriller Secret City.

The Netflix drama begins with a young man fleeing across a Canberra bridge, pursued by shadowy figures. Swallowing a SIM card, he leaps into the lake below – where his gutted body is found the next day.

INTERNATIONAL INTRIGUE 

As the police investigate the death, so too does newspaper reporter Harriet Dunkley (Torv), who soon links the death to the Chinese embassy and Australian defence minister Mal Paxton (Dan Wyllie), who is known for his pro-Chinese sympathies.
