STRESSED-OUT over her brutal breakup from Brad Pitt, an emaciated Angelina Jolie is on the verge of a mental meltdown — and a return trip to the loony bin!

That’s the alarming revelation of insiders close to the gaunt 76-pound Oscar winner — who told The National ENQUIRER the “Unbroken” director is about to crack!

“Angie feels and looks like she’s becoming unhinged,” dished a source close to the 41-year-old, overwrought mother of six.

“She rages for hours about what a horrible father Brad was — and she spends her days poisoning the kids against him and letting her health go to hell!”

Ironically, insiders told The ENQUIRER that it was Angie who had shut Brad in the end — denying him the right to even touch her for the last two years!

The wraithlike “Maleficent” star has suffered panic attacks and looks even more gaunt since their shocking Sept. 19 split.

“It’s a new low — even for Angie,” said a source.

“When she’s stressed out, she refuses to eat! Her confidence is shot. Incredibly, she still thinks she’s fat!”

And her behavior has become even more desperate and erratic since both the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services and the FBI tossed out allegations of child abuse against Brad in November.

“Having the charges dismissed shattered Angie,” tattled an insider. “She was humiliated! Now she’s convinced that in the public eye, she’s the villain in their split!

“She can’t handle that — and she’s taking it out on Brad!”

After her complaint about his drug use and a demand the actor undergo drug testing four times a month, Brad took a voluntary test — and turned to old pal David Spade for help adjusting to sobriety!
