As an airline pilot, Jimmy Nicholson is used to dealing with a little hot air. But nothing could prepare the “self-confessed romantic” for the bumpy journey that lay ahead of him when he signed on to The Bachelor to find love.

“There was a lot of drama,” the 31-year-old Sydneysider admits to WHO. “There was some stuff happening in the girls’ house that I had no idea about. After I found out, I questioned why I couldn’t see it, or why I chose to give my time and attention to that particular person instead of others,” he confesses.

Despite all the ups and downs, the handsome Bachelor says it was well worth it to find his happily ever after. “I wasn’t blindsided by the one person I cared about,” he admits. “She turned out to be exactly who I thought she was and that’s all that matters to me.”

I have and I’ve already dropped the L-bomb! All I wanted to get out of this experience was to meet someone really amazing and I couldn’t be happier. It’s a genuine old-fashioned love story.
