Tumi hides her killer fiancé’s hand in the murder of her estranged husband days before Lindani’s funeral.

Never in a million years did mining exec Tumi Dlomo (Larona Moagi) think that her year would end on a bitter note. Just a month ago, she was beaming with joy after she’d left her unhappy marriage with miner Lindani (Lunga Shabalala) for his cousin Mabutho (Thembinkosi Mthembu). “But things recently took a turn for the worst,” says Larona.

While Lindani was visiting Tumi to go over their divorce, he overheard Tumi confessing to accidentally orchestrating the car crash that killed her half-sister Mbali (Zenokuhle Maseko) in January this year. Rather than pretend that he didn’t hear anything, Lindani threatened to expose Tumi for murder. “She was terrified of being arrested and losing her loved ones. So to protect Tumi, Mabutho [who knew Lindani was threatening her] pushed Lindani down a flight of stairs, resulting in Lindani’s fatal injury,” explains Larona.

Because Tumi authorised doctors to switch off her husband’s life support machines when he was declared brain dead, his family blame her for his death, not knowing exactly how correct they are. “With Lindani’s memorial service taking place this fortnight, the Dlomos are going to turn on Tumi viciously,” adds the actress.
