Fourteen years ago, Scottish nurseAnna Dean’s (Kelly Macdonald, Margaret Thompson in period drama series Boardwalk Empire, 20102014) nine-year-old son was murdered in psychological drama series The Victim (2019). His then-14-year-old killer spent seven years behind bars in a juvenile detention center before having his records sealed and being released with a new identity. Now Anna believes that she has found her son’s murderer again, living under the new name Craig Myers (James Harkness, James in the 2020 drama series The Nest), a simple bus driver with a wife and daughter. After an online post exposes Craig’s “real identity” as child killer Eddie J Turner, complete with a photograph of Craig, his address, and the plea “Don’t let evil live”, Anna is arrested for attempted murder when she’s linked to the post inciting violence against Craig.
