Sbu ropes in Njeza into escaping prison and killing kingpin Nkunzi – and escape they will!

There aren’t many people who’re brave enough to attack KwaMashu’s most notorious gangster Nkunzi Mhlongo (Masoja Msiza). This fortnight though, his ex-lackey Sbu (Simphiwe Majozi) is thinking of ways to escape prison so that he can get revenge on Nkunzi.

Considering that Sbu took the fall for Nkunzi’s son Sibonelo’s (Wiseman Mncube) crimes in March, Sbu thought that Nkunzi would keep his promises and use his connections to get him released. “Instead, Nkunzi forgot all about Sbu,” says Uzalo’s publicist Thabile Mokone.

Sbu is angry and he wants to break free from prison to kill Nkunzi. After days of plotting, Sbu convinces his cellmate Njeza (Nkanyiso Makhanya) to escape with him. “Sbu and Njeza attempt to escape several times until they’re successful. While I can’t reveal how they leave prison, I can reveal that it’s going to be an occasion that’s worth the watch,” adds Thabile.
