Darkly comic spy drama Killing Eve (2018-now) centres on the deadly and oddly flirtatious game of catchers between intelligence agent Eve (Sandra Oh, Dr Cristina Yang until 2014 on Grey’s Anatomy, 2005-now) and her target, deadly assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer, Elizabeth Of York in 2017 miniseries The White Princess). But this game takes place in a richly detailed world filled with attention grabbing allies and enemies. One of the most intriguing of these is Carolyn Martens (Fiona Shaw, Petunia Dursley in the Harry Potter movies, 2001-2011), head of MI6’s Russian Section, who recruited Eve to track down the mystery assassin in the first place.
