Romeo’s little family is celebrating their first festive season together and everything is merry and bright.
This Christmas, it’s time for Romeo Medupe (Hungani Ndlovu) to reflect a little on his good fortune. With the birth of his son Khutso (Tlotliso Mabaleka) in August and his engagement to his dearest love Xolile (Sivenathi Mabuya) in early November, he has turned his energy from troublemaking to making a family. “Christmas symbolizes a new beginning,” says Hungani. And Romeo wants this first celebration with his son and his fiancée to be perfect. “Before this, he has never really been the leader of something good. Now he isn’t digging for information or trying to kill off someone. He is taking the lead in something that represents love, family, trust and honesty. It’s a clean slate.”
