Dressed in a breezy Zimmerman dress and oversized round sunglasses, the glamorous star sucked on a green lollipop and wrapped her arm around her 14-year-old daughter Emme as she hit up high-end home stores HD Buttercup and D.L. Rhein. A big fan of calm neutrals, she's all about creating a soft, welcoming environment, the Marry Me actress has said. “I'm like, can we have a pillow? And a blankie?”

While the 52-year-old is carefully selecting just the right pieces to create the perfect peaceful vibe in the massive, $55 million spread she and on-again boyfriend Ben Affleck recently purchased, a source tells Star she's making life hell for staffers working on the 20,000 squarefoot, 10-bedroom, 17-bathroom spread. "Jennifer has always been a pain to work for, but it's gone into overdrive since she bought the house,” reveals the source. “She's micromanaging every aspect of the renovations — the colors, the furniture, the landscaping, you name it. Her poor staff is working overtime to keep her happy but it's an impossible task.” As a result, the palatial pad is becoming a house of horrors as staff members trash talk Jennifer behind her back over her diva demands. “They're trying to act professional,” says the source, “but it's no secret Jennifer can be a real pill to deal with.”
