Y&R: BILLY QUESTIONS TARA ABOUT ASHLAND

Billy is determined to get to the bottom of the gossip swirling around Ashland’s health status for his latest ChancComm news story. To that end, he shows up at the Abbott manse to talk to Tara, but Jack bristles at his brother’s persistence. “It’s not like being tenacious is a new thing for Billy,” says his portrayer, Jason Thompson. “He’s always like a dog with a bone, whether it’s about a career move or a relationship or Adam, so when he goes for something, he puts all his energy into it. Right now, he’s trying to find out if Ashland Locke is really sick and what the truth is. Tara should know that answer, which is why he goes straight to the source.”

Jack tries to deter Billy, who doesn’t back down and instead presents his argument for why he wants to interview Tara. “Once he realized there was information that he’s missing, Billy wants to do the right thing,” Thompson sums up. “He comments that doing it his way means that he can control the story before someone else puts it out there and misrepresents it. Billy does understand the power that he has and the ability to control the narrative, but that entails speaking with Tara.&
