Wes Ramsey On His GH Debut

Wes Ramsey, who notched his first soap credit back in 2000 as Sam Spencer on GUIDING LIGHT, and in 2009 appeared on DAYS as Owen Kent, will make his GH debut on November 14 in the new role of Peter August.

The actor traces his casting back to a friendly run-in with Executive Producer Frank Valentini. “I had taken Laura [Wright, Carly, his girlfriend] to work one day, dropped her off in the parking lot, and as we were hanging out and talking, Frank walked by. I hadn’t seen him in years, but we do go way back; I screen-tested for him in 2009 for ONE LIFE TO LIVE. I don’t remember the role, but I do remember getting along famously with him. It was really sort of a wonderful coincidence when we crossed paths and got to catch up and talk, and I guess a seed was planted in the back of our minds, thinking, ‘Maybe we can have another crack at working together, if the right thing comes along at the right time.’ And sure enough, three or four months late
