We last saw you in your debut film, Saadiyan. What have you been upto?
You know what I believe in? If you’re not on the sets, you should keep yourself busy and keep on training. When I am not busy shooting, you’ll find me either practicing dance or martial arts. Generally, I also prefer year-long acting workshops. But of course, last year I couldn’t participate in either of them because Paltan happened.
So how did Paltan happen?
I should say that JP sir chose me. I went to meet sir when I heard that he was making a film. I had no idea what the story was but I believed in his vision. The fact that he takes time and works on what he must do instead of simply coming up with movies back to back is what I really appreciate. The main thing for me is to be a part of a film like this. I mean how many actors get to be a part of a war films of this scale?
How was your experience working with the legendary director JP Dutta?
With no offense to any other director, no movie has touched Border. For me, he is more like a father figure, mentor and guide. So the experience was brilliant. I hope I get to do more films with him in the future.
How did you prepare for your role in Paltan?
