A Busy Monarch
Royal Britain Presents Royal Life
|Issue 37
The Queen may be cutting back on her Royal engagements, with Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Edward and the younger Royals taking on more of her responsibilities, but despite turning 92 she is still remarkably busy!
-

What an incredible inspiration Her Majesty is to us all. Having just turned 92 she could be readily forgiven for deciding to join her husband Prince Philip in retirement, having already achieved so much and done such service to her country in her long lifetime. Her place in the history books is assured, but she’s not ready to call it a day just yet, and we have to say we are delighted at that.
As 2018 dawned, it was already shaping up to be a great year for the Queen. She was due to welcome two new great grandchildren into the family and her cherished grandson Prince Harry was due to marry the love of his life, Meghan Markle. That is the kind of thing that keeps you young at any age, and these great events seem to have given the Queen a new energy, because she has been out and about on public engagements and gathering so many new fans in the process.
For example, in March Her Majesty turned heads in a bold shade of orange as she paid a visit to London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts to open the new Burlington Gardens building and mark its 250th anniversary.
