On Sept. 1, Sarah Michelle Gellar gave a glimpse into her marriage to Freddie Prinze Jr. with a series of black-and-white throwback photos, each more doting and intimate than the last. Sharing a deep embrace and a sweet smooch, the pair looked blissfully in love. “I’m so glad I found someone to put up with my… awesomeness 17 years!” Sarah riffed.

By Hollywood standards, the pair’s relationship has lasted eons. Having solidified a friendship as costars of the 1997 hit horror flick I Know What You Did Last Summer, the teen idols only started dating two years later, after “there was a solid foundation built,” Freddie’s shared. And despite the pressures of living in the limelight, fluctuating work schedules, costarring ventures (Scooby Doo times two!) and raising a family (kids Charlotte, 9, and Rocky, 7), the duo have majorly defied the odds. “Their marriage is considered one of Hollywood’s success stories,” says an insider of the star couple, reportedly worth a combined $100 million. “Their love has endured, and these days, they’re hotter than ever.”
