MIRACLE MEDICAL BREAKTHROUGH ZAPS PARKINSON'S!

A BREAKTHROUGH stem cell therapy designed to recreate dopamine-producing nerve cells in the brain may wipe out debilitating Parkinson's disease!
-
The promising treatment, which is expected to enter clinical trials with human patients later this year, is the result of a decade's work by Swedish and Danish scientists. The researchers have added specific proteins so-called growth factors to stem cells in an effort to reverse the progressive nervous system disorder.
"The cells are surgically inserted into the brain to hopefully produce dopamine in place of the patient's dead nerve cells," explains neuroscientist Agnete Kirkeby.
Dopamine is vital for sending movement signals from the brain to other parts of the body. A lack of the neurotransmitter results in tremors and slowed movements and has been linked to Parkinson's.
