THE DELIGHTED DUKE AND DUCHESS OF SUSSEX PROUDLY PRESENT THEIR ‘BUNDLE OF JOY’ AT WINDSOR CASTLE

- Emily Nash

Introducing Their Son To The World Archie Mountbatten-Windsor

Cradled in his adoring father’s arms, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor slept soundly throughout his first ever photocall, a mere two days after his arrival into the world.

Proud parents the Duke and Duchess of Sussex looked ecstatic as they presented their newborn son with Meghan declaring: “It’s magic. It’s pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world so I’m really happy.”

Young Archie – who will take no royal title unless the Queen decides to grant him one – was revealed to the world in the heart of Windsor Castle, surrounded by ten centuries of royal history. Prince Harry and his wife showed off their beautiful boy – the first Anglo-American baby born into the royal family and the first of mixed heritage born to a senior royal in centuries, marking a hugely symbolic moment.

And the couple could not hide their joy as they posed for a family photo in the magnificent St George’s Hall, where they celebrated their wedding reception with 600 guests almost a year earlier.

Wrapped in an ivory Leaves and Flowers baby shawl from GH Hurt & Son and wearing a white cashmere hat, the little boy slept soundly as Meghan tenderly stroked his head and her husband’s arm.

Asked what her new son was like, his adoring mother happily said: “He has the sweetest temperament, he’s really calm.” She then laughed as Harry quipped: “I don’t know who he gets that from.”

Radiant in a sleeveless white trench dress, Meghan added: “He’s just been the dream so it’s been a special couple of days.”
