FELICIA CHIN’s mum and JEFFREY XU’s parents recently met up with one another when the celeb couple were in Shanghai during the Chinese New year hols. Could this mean Felifrey is getting married soon?
8 DAYS: So Feli, what do Jeffrey’s parents think of you?
FELICIA CHIN: (Long pause) He said his parents liked me a lot (laughs). His parents think I’m very sensible and they have a good impression of me lah. But it sounds like self-praise to say this on my own.
JEFFREY XU: From the onset, their impression of her was already very good. This time round, they got to spend more time together and that impression deepened.
And your mum’s opinion of Jeffrey?
F: The first time my mum met Jeffrey, she didn’t have a very good impression of him (laughs). They were both sending me off at the airport. He was supposed to send her home after that but there was some kind of miscommunication and she ended up going home on her own. So she was like, “Is this guy really going after my daughter?” (Laughs) But after spending more time together, my mum now is very fond of him. She calls him “bao bei” (laughs).
They say that travelling together can make or break a relationship. So what new things did you learn about each other on this trip?
