Former Ch 8 actor and first-time dad VINCENT NG tells us how his wushu skills come in handy when he’s changing his son’s diapers.
8 DAYS: Congrats on the birth of your son! How does it feel being a father for the first time?
VINCENT NG: I’m feeling thankful and very blessed. It’s a kind of happiness that I’ve never felt before. I don’t know how to describe it. (Laughs)
What was running through your mind when you first set eyes on your son?
I was present throughout the delivery. And when I saw my son coming out, I was overcome with so much emotion that I shed tears of joy. I just felt so happy and blessed ’cos I love kids very much. I’ve always wanted to start my own family.
Who does your son resemble more? You or Mei Ling?
(Laughs) Some people said that he looks like me, and some said he looks like his mum. Most of them said that he looks like me lah. I think my son has really beautiful features. (Guffaws)
Your son’s nickname is Bumblebee. What is his actual name?
