DESMOND TAN recently led a tour to Iceland, but we wouldn’t blame you for thinking that the Code of Law star was there for a photo shoot.

HARPA ON IT: Des enjoying a lesiurely stroll along the streets of Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland. “Reykjavik is a beautiful town with a mix of old-world charm and modern buildings, like the Harpa concert hall. Fans of Black Mirror will recognise this glass building from one of the episodes,” he says. Fun fact: The Harpa hall’s hexagonal glass facade was inspired by the basalt landscape in Iceland. Planning to head to the Nordic country to escape the tropical heat? Here’s a tip from Des: “You just need a credit card to survive in Iceland — I didn’t bring a single Króna for my trip.”
TAKE HIM TO CHURCH: The actor posing against the iconic Hallgrimskirkja parish church, a 74.5m-tall, striking presence against the Reykjavik skyline.
IT’S LAKE DAY: One of the must-dos in Iceland is a relaxing thermal dip in the 40°C Blue Lagoon spa, which apparently does wonders for your skin. “I was told that I’d look 10 years younger after dipping in it,” Desmond jokes. “I also did the Silica mud mask and my face really felt smoother after that!”
