FIONA XIE says she’s a Pokemon at the press meet for her new Ch 5 drama, Left Behind. Somehow, that makes perfect sense.
We’re at rooftop bar Smoke & Mirrors where Fiona Xie and her co-stars are promoting their new Ch 5 drama, Left Behind. Needless to say, she quickly becomes the centre of attention — not just ’cos this is her comeback vehicle, but also for her perplexing, yet strangely-sexy outfit.
She jokes that her get-up makes her look like the Pokemon, Snorlax. And Fiona gamely whips her jacket’s hood over her head and starts exclaiming, “I’m Snorlax! I’m a rare Pokemon!” all while flailing her arms wildly in the air.
But when we interview her, she suddenly turns serious, dishing bon mots that wouldn’t look out of place in a poetry slam contest. This yo-yo-ing between extremes is the allure of Fiona Xie — her real personality as elusive as, you guessed it, a Snorlax.
