Tata Safari

Inside, it is very similar to the Harrier save for the new white upholstery. It looks great, but could be a headache to keep clean. The Safari also gets an electric parking brake in place of the old mechanical lever. The infotainment system is packed with goodies such as Harmon audio, Apple Car Play, Android Auto, etc, but the display area of the screen is no bigger than your phone.

We knew all along that a seven-seater version of the Harrier had been in the making for quite some time. First known as the H7X, then the Buzzard, and later the Gravitas, it was merely seen as a derivative of an existing car and interest was low. That was until someone in the marketing department suggested that it should be called the Safari. Immediately it got social media talking about it, debating whether it was worthy of the legendary name, if it should have come with four-wheel drive, etc. Whether it is worthy of carrying the legacy or not, the new Safari has a lot riding on its shoulders. We drove one a few months back to see if it lives up to the hype.
