Through the ages, South Africa has had its share of strong, inspirational women and this remains true today. In the weeks leading up to Women’s Month 2019, a number of appointments and awards demonstrated just how radically life has changed for women – and in particular black women – since 1994.
Phuthi Mahanyele-Dabengwa became CEO of Naspers South Africa, thus joining the global management team of Africa's largest public company. She is Naspers’ first female and first black chief executive.
