The government has made its stand on the need to link two primary identity numbers, the permanent account number (PAN) and Aadhaar details for smooth tax filing and ensuring that the taxpayers are identified by these two identifications. Although, a lot of murmurs have been going around about linking the two, the process takes only a few minutes over two simple steps.

 Before you start linking the two, keep your PAN and Aadhaar details handy, as you will need both these details to get the linkages going. 

If your contact details is the same on both these IDs, you would not evern realise when the process of linking got over as you get an instant message stating “successfully linked” at the bottom of the web page.
