Twisted Concrete Bench

“Twisted Concrete Bench” is designed for indoor and outdoor spaces.

The bench’s two straight ends are contrasted by a “Twist”, which creates the support from one side, guides the form, and provides a smooth seating for up to three, shaping the furniture piece into a fluid landscape, expressing softness, and a sense of movement. Concrete is known for its solidity, strength and durability, often used to create large monolithic forms. Using concrete as material to stabilize the shape, the challenge of this project was the creation of the mold, especially for the twisting part.
