‘Social offices’ build a collaborative environment where performance levels invariably stay optimal.

More Than Just A Work Space

The end of the financial year for any corporate or business venture around the world also marks the start of HR managers planning their staffing for the next financial year, as well as making new recruitment strategies, while enhancing their present policies.

Organisations across the globe are looking to revamp their recruiting ways to fill both temporary and full-time positions. About 44 per cent of businesses look to hire full-time employees and 51 per cent plan on hiring temporary ones.1

The profile of an HR does not limit to just hiring a good candidate. It is broader than that. Given that 50 per cent of the workforce will be millennials by 2025 and the number is only going to grow to 75 per cent.2 HRs are increasingly working towards formulating talent-friendly strategies and policies to ensure a positive work environment and create a social office, which gives freedom, choice, and control to employees about how do they work and where do they work from. Empowered employees collaborate better and feel at home.

This is because the office is no longer defined solely as the place where people work. The new work culture dictates that the place where employees spend a majority of their time be an open environment. This is possible with three factors—being collaborative, ensuring the work space is social media-friendly, and the health and well-being of an employee is placed in high regard.
