-

Welcome to the 2022 Inc. Regionals, our celebration of the fastest-growing companies in America by geographic area economic hometown heroes of the first order. A local take on our Inc. 5000, this annual ranking features entrepreneurial outperformers from the Pacific to the Southeast and beyond. To make the cut, all had to show a minimum of 60 percent revenue growth over two years, although many far exceed those table stakes-like Pushnami, the push notifications startup in Austin that pegged a dizzying rate of 27,530 percent.
In a year when the U.S. economy grew more than it had since 1984, astonishing growth on these seven regional lists was less the exception than the rule. Unlike the Inc. 5000, which ranks growth over three years, the Inc. Regionals tracks growth over the past two and lowers the revenue threshold; to qualify, a company must have generated a minimum of $100,000 in 2018 and $1 million in 2020 (and be privately held, U.S.-based, and independent). The result is a collection of America's off-the-charts companies, all delivering an outsize impact on the economy. They're disrupters and job creators-923 firms that brought on 84,981 new employees and generated $51.6 billion in revenue during this period. Remember their names and follow their lead. These are the companies you'll be hearing about for years to come.
