Reduce your carbon footprint with the correct lubricants

Fuchs's new automotive product packaging is easy on the environment, says Andrew Cowling, sales director at Fuchs Lubricants South Africa.

The new small oil packs for the automotive sector introduced globally by the Fuchs Group at the end of last year, feature easily recognizable labels, images, pictographs, and color codes to help customers select the correct oil. They also have an optimised bottle shape with a longer neck for smoother pouring, and use recycled materials for a reduced environmental impact.

“By choosing products in our new bottles, our customers reduce waste and their own carbon footprints,” says Andrew Cowling, sales director at Fuchs Lubricants South Africa. The new bottles contain at least 30% post-consumer recycled content and are 100% recyclable, while the lubricants themselves are produced in the Fuchs Group’s sustainability strategy aimed at carbon neutrality, which is based on the ‘avoid, reduce, compensate’ principle.

The strategy has been under development for a decade.
