THE ARDENT CRUSADER
Construction Week
|March 2021
T Chitty Babu, chairman & CEO, Akshaya, has not dithered from building homes that not only delight his customers, but is also pleasing to the planet
Imagination is the highest form of research, is a quote attributed to Albert Einstein. In that single phrase, he well encapsulated that in order to change things, one must see beyond the world we live in and look for solutions. More so in today’s world, where people are constantly searching for something new and often forgetting to look within. One also needs foresight, a strong sense of intuition, and a will power to see goals to fruition.
In the world of real estate, most developers look to others for inspiration. It is not uncommon to find developments that are no different from each other in many ways. Not for T Chitty Babu, chairman & CEO, Akshaya, who (and here’s a surprise) states that he derives his inspiration from closely watching the operations of airlines, healthcare, automotive and hospitality. “Airlines for their timing, healthcare for their hygiene, automotive for their inventiveness and regular launches, and hospitality for their style and decorum, are some of the lessons to be absorbed here. It is these factors that constitute the backbone of real estate,” says Babu.
Now 25 years later, Babu continues to subscribe to these thoughts that have stood him in good stead.
