What was the biggest challenge you faced while working on this project?

Amita: A major challenge to design this was that it was a compact site with no views which matters in second homes. By designing the house around a crescent pool with internal courtyards and semi-open walkways, we created introspective houses that focused on its internal landscape and beautiful old trees. Another technical challenge was to ensure that the double-height living space must face outside with sliding folding doors that spanned across the width of the living space.
