Mahender Singh, director, IFMA, India and South East Asia, shares his thoughts on the current state of commercial buildings ecosystem in India and the contributions of IFMA to the sector
Facility management (FM) is a profession that improves business and our lives by ensuring functionality, comfort, safety, and efficiency of the built environment and is practiced by 25 million people around the world. The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) is the global body that empowers facility professionals to optimize operations of their facilities, teams and workplace projects.
IFMA India brings the association’s educational, informational and networking services, programs and benefits directly to the fraternity, through knowledge sharing activities, Chapter development, education and credential programs and other initiatives. When you join IFMA, you’ll be a member of the global organization as well as the local chapter nearest to you with access to resources from both. Whether you have years of experience as a facility manager or are new to the profession, you’ll find valuable opportunities for personal and professional growth as an IFMA member.
The vision of the India Chapter is “To equip the fraternity with qualification equivalent to international standards in FM, in turn creating a fraternity of enthusiastic professionals for India and the global market not just limited to FM or corporate real estate services”
