This office building exemplifies how a structure can become a cultural landmark through design

krushi Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, developed for the Odisha government’s Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment, draws directly from its socio-cultural and environmental context. This building was highly commended at the World Architecture Festival (WAF), held in Amsterdam. While workspaces for the state department and directorates are housed in the upper floors of the building, the ground level is designed as a free-flowing public space with a plaza, fully accessible by citizens, adding to the city’s social infrastructure. This is in keeping with the mandate to reimagine the government’s relationship with its people.
