When the Honda City was first launched in the Indian market in 1998, I was 10 years old and nowhere close to the legal age of driving.
A lot has changed in these two decades – the City is now in its fourth-generation. And I happen to have its key for a few months as my long-term test car. Of all the cars available in the market today, few have been on sale as long as the City. And while I’ve had some experience with the car in the past, I’ve never had a chance use any of the previous iterations of the car properly.

A FRIEND IN NEED
This month, the Skoda Kylaq was my friend in need. I had to travel a lot for some personal work, and this meant frequent highway runs. Sometimes, I had to take alternate routes filled with crater-like potholes and broken roads, to ditch peak-hour traffic, too. These runs gave me a good perspective of how the car would perform when subject to such long drives frequently.
