The last-gen iPad Pro is back with a new name, having lost a few features… and a few hundred pounds

Originally, Apple used the ‘Air’ name for products that were thinner and lighter than anything that had come before. But this new iPad Air, like the recent new MacBook Air, doesn’t actually fit this description. Now, Apple seems to use the Air name for its ‘sweet spot’ products, with the most mainstream mix of features and price. That’s definitely the case here.
