Hyundai Venue Makes Global Debut In India

Hyundai’s first sub-4m SUV comes with first-in-segment features along with three engine options.

Hyundai Motor India’s contender in the competitive sub-four compact SUV space, the Venue was recently unveiled concurrently with its debut at the 2019 New York Auto Show. Hyundai’s first ever compact SUV, which is scheduled to launch in India on May 21, will take on the likes of the Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, and the Tata Nexon.

The Venue’s design takes inspiration from the brand’s other SUVs like the Kona and Santa Fe. It gets a large honeycomb grille, split headlamps, and a general squared-off look. The production-spec SUV has subtle cuts and creases along the body and ends with quite a minimalist design accentuated with the small squarish tail lamps. Dimensionally, the Hyundai Venue measures 3,995mm long, 1,770mm wide, 1,590mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,500mm. The top-spec trims come with 215/60 R16 tires.
